Meditation does not have to be total silence without thought or movement. Dancing, Yoga, Drumming, Jogging, Walking, Gardening, are all forms of meditation. Focusing on breath during these activities will tone down the wandering thought and leave room for messages, answers or quiet solitude within.
Listening to quiet music, reading an inspirational book, watching the sunset or the stars are also forms of meditation that bring you out of the day-to-day “stuff” and help to clear brain clutter.
Use time in the shower to visualize your worries being washed away, down the drain.Simply turn on a warm shower, set the intention that as the water pours over you it will take with it any negative, hurtful thoughts and feelings, and as they wash away they will be replaced with loving, encouraging, hopeful thoughts and feelings. It may take a few showers to begin to notice the difference, but over time you will never view a shower the same way.
Once a week try to take a least one full hour of solitude. Spend time in the bath, if you choose, but light candles, put on quiet music, read a good book, do a card reading, or simply sit and just be. The important thing about this hour is that you are truly alone, with no phone, no tv, or other distractions. This time is all about you.
Guided meditation is useful in helping keep your focus off your thoughts. You will be guided to see, smell, hear, and experience outside of your conscious mind. These meditations can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as one hour, and they are the perfect answer for those who have trouble just sitting quietly and allowing peace to enter.
Meditate For Heaven’s Sake is now ready for you.
